I am so very grateful to timebank member, David, for the many ways that he shows up for the BACE Timebank. First and foremost, David regularly timebanks--he makes requests, offers and exchanges. He talks to everyone about timebanking and is rather clever in his approach. I remember a time that David agreed to provide transportation for a person under the condition that the person would need to listen to him talk about timebanking during the car ride. He leverages his Sonoma County connections as a way to help BACE Timebank grow and be more accessible to Spanish speakers. He introduced me to the editor of La Voz. He gives BACE regular access to radio time, facilitating the promotion of timebanking, in general, and BACE specifically. He persuades younger Latinx people to join BACE Timebank. He encourages nonprofit organizations to join as well. One of the ways that he gives his time to BACE Timebank is through photography. A number of the vibrant mages we use on our website and social media were taken by David. And, as if this weren't enough, he contributes to our fundraisers as well! David's dedication to timebanking as a way of life is clear--he walks his talk!
