Story: The East End Time Dollar Exchange is a network, a community of people. Once I went into the East End Time Banks office to get a haircut from Robin, the Coordinator.
They happened to be preparing a mailing, so after my haircut I earned my Time Dollar back by putting address labels on envelopes. While I was doing that, another member came in and mentioned he was looking for a bicycle. I told him I had one I had been thinking about selling. The next day, I sold him my bicycle for 2 ½ Time Dollars. That’s how it works. People helping people.

Become an Affiliate TimeBank
TimeBanks that join TBUSA’s Affiliate Network have a VIP pass to the experience and expertise of a wide range of TimeBankers. As the hub of the Affiliate Network, TBUSA plays a vital role in supporting the growth and development of TimeBanks.
TBUSA is a national voice for your local programs. TBUSA will promote your TimeBank by publishing your contact information in our online directory, sharing your news in our print and electronic media, and connecting you with local and national news outlets looking for a good story on Time Banking.
TBUSA connects you to valuable resources. TBUSA offers materials that you can customize for your Time Bank, trainings, fundraising manuals, start-up guides, online TimeBanking software and more to help you get off on the right foot and stay afloat.
TBUSA helps you develop a network of colleagues. TBUSA facilitates discussion forums, a Super Time Banks for the exchange of ideas and expertise, a national conference, and the formation of special affinity groups.
Not Just Another Membership Network
Joining TBUSA Affiliate Network means you’re committing to share your TimeBank’s experience, promote the core values of TimeBanking, advance the mission of TimeBanks USA and give a hand up to other TimeBanks. TimeBanks contribute to the national conferences, serve as Ambassadors, lead webinars and conference calls, promote TimeBanking online and in the media, and provide the fertile soil for new initiatives, like Youth Courts, the Racial Justice Initiative or CareBanks. TimeBankers also contribute their vast array of talents to one another and to TimeBanks everywhere.
Be Our Friend!
You don’t have to run a TimeBank, or even belong to one, to get in on the action. Friends of TBUSA support the movement with an annual membership fee, and receive our monthly member ebulletin, as well as a discount on publications and events. Friend Memberships are for individuals and households.
